Guidelines for authors

 

Transylvania Magazine is edited by the Interethnic Cultural Centre Transylvania under the authority of the Sibiu County Council and is a review of scientific inter / trans disciplinary, with the recognition in the category B + from the national evaluation of the National Council of Scientific Research in Higher Education, the journal publishes studies and scientific articles and reviews in various fields such as history of social thought, economic, cultural and political philosophy, religion, criticăşi literary, art.

 

Reference to the highest national and international standards for assessing academic collaborators editors recommend the use of internationally accepted standards in terms of editing for publication.

 

Materials will be sent to editors in electronic format, preferably in. Doc or. Rtf, accompanied by their version converted into portable format (pdf) is preferred that the text does not contain such codes marking bookmarks , mark for index terms (names, localities etc.), hyperlinks, automatic numbering of paragraphs, words, etc. manually split., font formatting is permitted level, if used tables, charts and other graphics is preferable they are sent in separate file (in. xls,. tiff,. jpeg,. pdf) where, for reasons of economy of space allocated to research, review articles or adjustments are required (meaning added or suppression of graphics), editor reserves the right to intervene on the material in this respect. Even if the editorial materials ensures correct grammar and style in terms of accuracy, the authors recommend checking these issues prior to dispatch.

 

On the first page of material is required the presence of:

- The title is written in the language of the article and in English (where appropriate) it must be concise and clear, it is possible that, for indexing the database, the words present in the title to be used to retrieve articles.

- Name of author (s) and institutional affiliation (in the language is written the article and in English) together with the institution, shall clearly specify whether the author is part of different institutional collective, also need the full address of institution / institutions of which the author (postal address, telephone / fax, email).

- Summary Article. It must provide concise research purposes, the main research results and major conclusions reached;

- Keywords (minimum 5) in English.

- The presence of subsets of special characters, legend graphics present in the article (if any) other circumstances relating to special items of content item.

 

Publication of material does not present these items will be deferred until members of the Editorial Office will be able to identify them, the responsibility lies solely on the content authors materials, unpublished materials, the reasons justified objectively, shall not be returned to the authors, copyright, after published material rests exclusively with the Interethnic Transylvania Cultural Center.

For preparation of references recommend using footnotes or end of the chapter and mandatory reference works were used as bibliographic material in English:

Abbreviations used in compiling convenţionale1 bibliographic notes:

 

- Ibid (same place) is used for successive references to the same author and same work, the situation is same even if it is a recurring reference to page number, in which case it indicates the exact page, the words no longer valid if between the first reference and inserted next to another note;

- To avoid repeating the name of an author, use the words Idem (same person), will work to just write headlines or articles;

- Op. cit. (Opposite citatus - work cited) is used when citing a work by a single author, the first reference is made in full (see the situations described above), the second time (third time, etc.) reference is made to set short ;

- Place. cit., l.c. (Citato locally - instead of quote), is used to indicate the paragraphs already cited in the paper;

- Et al. (Et alii, et alia, et alia - and others) is used where the author, after mentioning a name from a longer list, specific or unwilling to repeat them (after first mention);

- Cf (confero - compared to) is used to indicate a comparison between paragraphs of different sources, from different viewpoints or similar;

- Apud (to) is to be used when the text uses a quote from a book or a historical source taken from other works mentioned in note references;

- Et passim (here and there) is used to specify that the idea in question is taken from several parts of the work cited, with reference to part of the work which began taking over.

 

Other conventional abbreviations:

- See or q.v. (Quod vide) is used to indicate that something is treated at length elsewhere, in the right context;
- Approx. (About) is used to indicate something roughly;
- E.g. - Example of grace - for the sake of example;
- Etc. (Et caetera - and so on) is used broadly to specify that they may be listed many examples in the same context;
- I.e. (Id est - that is) is used in text to clarify a statement, a statement of a problem;
- (Sic) is used when the author wants to distance themselves from misuse of a form or likely to be incorrectly used, while wanting to draw attention to the expression found;
- Viz. (Videlicet - so like, that is) is used for specifying apoziţiilor examples or identify a person or thing;
- Fl. (Floruit) is used to indicate a historical period in which a person served, a school, a cultural trend, even a particular species;
- N.B. (NB) is used to alert the author of exposure considered something important.
